
Amesbury resident Richard Napolitano newly appointed by Salem State to the position of associate vice president for institutional advancement.
Coming to the university from Newburyport’s Anna Jaques Hospital where he most recently served as vice president and executive director of the Community Health Foundation. Previously, he held alumni, fundraising and development positions at Boston Latin School, the University of Massachusetts-Lowell and Lawrence Academy .
Vice president of Institutional Advancement Cynthia McGurren said, “Rich Napolitano is joining Salem State at a very critical juncture in its long and distinguished history. As associate vice president, he will oversee a staff that includes major gifts officers, the prospect management research team, advancement services and the corporate/ foundation relations staff, serving as the leader of the frontline of fundraisers for the university.
