The Amesbury Carriage Museum is hoping to rekindle a celebration of the region’s 19th century carriage-manufacturing past with this summer’s Amesbury Carriage Festival.
The celebration is set for June 30 and July 1 at Bob-Lyn Stables at 91 Monroe St. in Amesbury.
A Bluegrass, Brew & BBQ will kick things off in the farm’s indoor arena. There will also be a display of antique carriages, as well as horseless carriages, which served as the evolutionary step of the carriage to the car. Newer carriages will also be featured. The display will include carriages from the Amesbury Carriage Museum, as well as from private collections.
